Why donate to the North Highlands Community Museum?

The straightforward answer is, “Because the Museum can’t exist without the generosity of people like you!”

There are many costs related to maintaining any museum, including ours. Temperature and humidity must be kept within ranges suitable for maintaining artifacts and archives, all year long. Then there are electricity, heat, telephone, water and septic bills to pay, and student summer guides to support.

While the Museum enjoys support from the County of Victoria, the NS Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage and Enterprise Cape Breton Corp. (ECBC), donations from individuals are crucial in making ends meet.

Furthermore, contributions from individuals demonstrate to our funding agencies that our community values the Museum and is doing its part to support it.
